- 1 package puff pastry sheets thawed
- ½ –¾ cup Nutella chocolate-hazelnut spread
- 1 cup fresh strawberries finely chopped
- 1 large egg for egg wash
- 1 tablespoon water
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- All-purpose flour for dusting work surface
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lightly flour your work surface and gently roll out the puff pastry to smooth seams.
Cut an even number of heart shapes using a cookie cutter or sharp knife.
Place half of the hearts on the prepared baking sheet.
Spread a thin layer of Nutella in the center of each heart, leaving a small border.
Top with a spoonful of chopped strawberries.
Whisk egg with water to make egg wash. Brush edges lightly.
Place remaining pastry hearts on top and press edges gently with a fork to seal.
Brush tops with egg wash.
