Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup flour (can use gluten-free if desired) Use gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version.
  • ½ cup water (or plant-based milk for extra creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Garnishes

  • Fresh herbs or green onions Optional, for garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by washing and cutting your cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water (or plant-based milk), garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt until smooth.

Cooking

  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess to drip off before placing it into the air fryer basket.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Once ready, arrange the battered cauliflower in a single layer in the basket and cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Once golden and crispy, transfer the cauliflower back to your mixing bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the florets and toss until they are evenly coated.
  • Return the coated cauliflower to the air fryer for an additional 5 minutes to achieve a sticky coating and crisp texture.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcrowding the air fryer. You can serve these bites with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping. Experiment with spices or other sauces to customize the flavor.
