Ingredients
  

  • 8 fresh jalapeños
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs optional for topping
  • Optional Add-Ins:
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • Dash of hot sauce
  • ¼ cup shredded pepper jack cheese

Instructions
 

  • Prep
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Wash and dry jalapeños.
  • Slice in half lengthwise.
  • Remove seeds and membranes for milder heat (wear gloves if needed).
  • Make the Filling
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Stuff the Jalapeños
  • Spoon cheese mixture evenly into each jalapeño half.
  • Smooth tops with back of spoon.
  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if using.
  • Air Fry
  • Place stuffed jalapeños in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and tops are lightly golden.
  • Serve
  • Let cool for 3–5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh chives or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed.
  • Avoid overfilling to prevent cheese overflow.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes.
  • Freezing after cooking is not recommended.
