Ingredients

For the Pizza Pockets

  • 1 package Pizza Dough Store-bought or homemade dough.
  • 30 slices Pepperoni Slices Choose your favorite brand or turkey pepperoni.
  • 1 cup Cheese (Mozzarella) Classic choice; can mix with provolone or cheddar.
  • ½ cup Pizza Sauce Store-bought marinara or homemade.
  • to taste Optional Seasonings Dried oregano, garlic powder, or crushed red pepper.

Instructions

Preparation

  • If using store-bought dough, let it come to room temperature for easier handling.
  • Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it's about ¼ inch thick.
  • Use a pizza cutter or knife to slice the dough into squares (about 4 inches on each side).
  • Place a small spoonful of pizza sauce in the center of each square, followed by a few pieces of pepperoni and a sprinkle of cheese.
  • Fold the dough over to create a pocket. Press the edges together with your fingers, then crimp them with a fork.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Arrange the filled pizza pockets in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown and cheese has melted.

Serving

  • Let the pockets cool slightly before serving with additional pizza sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

For optimal performance, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before rolling it out to prevent sticking. Experiment with different fillings like veggies or chicken for unique flavors.
