  • 8 oz pasta (e.g., fusilli or rotini) Use a pasta shape that holds dressing well.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved Fresh and ripe for best flavor.
  • 1 cup mozzarella balls, sliced or halved Use fresh mozzarella for better taste.
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves Torn for fuller flavor.

Dressing

  • 3 tbsp olive oil Extra-virgin recommended.
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar For tangy flavor.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Adjust according to preference.

Preparation

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your pasta and cook until al dente according to the package instructions. Drain and let it cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the cooled pasta, halved cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella balls.
  • Tear fresh basil leaves and sprinkle them over the pasta mixture.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Drizzle this dressing over your pasta salad.
  • Use a spatula or large spoon to carefully toss all the ingredients until they are evenly coated.
  • Give it a taste and check if it needs more salt, pepper, or dressing.
  • For the best flavor, let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature, and enjoy!

Notes
