  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract Enhances flavor

Mix-ins

  • 2 cups Chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or dark

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully blended.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.

Baking

  • Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill your dough for at least 30 minutes for thicker cookies. Use quality ingredients for enhanced flavor. Don’t overbake; cookies will firm up after removing them from the oven.
