- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- For the filling:
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 –3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Add melted butter, egg, and salt, then gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough.
Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cinnamon for the filling.
Roll dough into a rectangle, spread filling, and sprinkle chocolate chips.
Roll tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
Place rolls in a baking dish and let rise for 30–45 minutes.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
