Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 2 fillets Salmon Fillet Choose fresh or frozen, skin-on or skin-off.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter For sautéing.
  • Salt and Pepper to taste Salt and Pepper To season the salmon.

For the Creamy Dill Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Butter For the sauce base.
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Freshly minced for best flavor.
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream The creamy base of the sauce.
  • 2-3 tablespoons Fresh dill Chopped, fresh dill enhances the sauce flavor.
  • ½ tablespoon Lemon Juice Brightens the dish.

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Cooking the Salmon

  • In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Place the salmon skin-side down and cook for about 4-5 minutes until it’s nicely browned.
  • Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Remove the salmon and set it aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Pour in ½ cup of heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in fresh chopped dill and lemon juice. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 2 minutes.

Combining

  • Return the salmon to the skillet, spooning the creamy dill sauce over the top. Allow it to cook for another minute.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with additional dill or lemon slices if desired.

Notes

Opt for wild-caught salmon for better flavor. Don't overcook the salmon to maintain moisture. Prepare the sauce in advance to save time.
