Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use rotisserie chicken for a quick option.
  • 8 oz pasta (like penne or fusilli) These shapes hold the sauce beautifully.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup Adds creamy texture and taste.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Boosts the chicken flavor.
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (frozen or fresh) Peas, carrots, and corn work wonderfully.
  • 1/2 cup milk For extra creaminess.

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme This herb elevates the entire dish.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season according to preference.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Shred your chicken and chop any fresh vegetables if you’re using them.

Cooking

  • In your slow cooker, add the chicken, pasta, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, mixed vegetables, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Set your crock pot on low for 4-5 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours.
  • If possible, give it a stir halfway through cooking to ensure even cooking and sauce distribution.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, check the pasta for doneness. Depending on the type used, it may need a bit more liquid or time.
  • Once cooked, give the dish a good stir and serve hot—garnished with parsley if you like.

Notes

For best texture, avoid overcooking the pasta and using too much liquid. Adjust the seasoning to taste for the best flavor.
