Total Time 4 hours hrs 10 minutes mins
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- ½ cup yellow or Dijon mustard
- ⅓ cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika or dried thyme optional
Lightly grease the slow cooker.
Season chicken on both sides with salt and black pepper.
Place chicken in the bottom of the crock pot in a single layer.
In a bowl, whisk together mustard, honey, garlic, chicken broth, olive oil, and optional seasoning.
Pour sauce evenly over the chicken.
Cover and cook:
LOW: 4–5 hours
HIGH: 2–3 hours
Spoon sauce over the chicken halfway through cooking if possible.
Chicken is done when it reaches 165°F (74°C) and is fork-tender.
Rest 5 minutes before serving. Spoon extra sauce over the top.
-
Chicken thighs stay juicier if cooking longer.
-
Avoid too much honey—it should complement, not overpower, the mustard.
-
For thicker sauce, uncover and cook an extra 15–20 minutes on HIGH.
