Preparation

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant—be careful not to burn it!

Cooking the Chicken

  • Add chicken breasts to the skillet and season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness.

Adding Mushrooms

  • Toss in sliced mushrooms and continue cooking until they soften and caramelize, about 4-5 minutes.
