Ingredients

Lobster Ingredients

  • 4 pieces lobster tails (6–8 ounces each) Choose fresh or fully thawed lobster tails.

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter For a lighter version, consider olive oil.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic provides the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed lemon juice is preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Can be substituted with other herbs for variations.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust seasoning based on preference.
  • as needed Lemon wedges for garnish Optional for serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Using kitchen shears, cut down the top of the lobster shell, stopping just before the tail fins to gently pull the meat out for broiling.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic, stirring for about a minute until fragrant. Do not let it brown. Remove from heat and mix in the lemon juice and parsley.
  • Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush the lobster meat with half of the garlic butter mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking

  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm to the touch.
  • Switch your oven to broil. Brush the remaining garlic butter over the lobster tails and broil for an additional 1-2 minutes until the meat is golden and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving with lemon wedges and your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the lobster to prevent it from becoming rubbery. Use fresh garlic and herbs for the best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
