Main ingredients

  • 2 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each) Fresh, high-quality salmon is recommended.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Use unsalted for better control over seasoning.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Juice of lemon About one lemon.
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or dill), chopped To taste.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Don't forget to season properly.
  • optional lemon slices for garnish Optional for serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lay a large piece of aluminum foil on a baking sheet.
  • In a bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Center the salmon fillets on the foil.
  • Drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the salmon, ensuring it’s coated generously.
  • Top with fresh herbs, allowing their fragrance to infuse the fish.
  • Gently fold the foil around the salmon to create a sealed packet.
  • Place the foil packet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of your salmon.

Serving

  • Carefully open the foil (watch out for steam!) and transfer your salmon to a plate.
  • Garnish with more herbs and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

Choose fresh salmon for best results. Do not overcook it as salmon can dry out quickly. Let the salmon rest for a few minutes after cooking for better flavor and texture.
