  • Lettuce or spinach
  • Tomatoes, sliced
  • Onion, thinly sliced
  • Cheese (provolone, mozzarella, or cheddar)
  • Condiments (mayo, mustard, or your favorite sauce)

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you prefer.
  • Optional: Marinate the chicken in olive oil, garlic powder, and herbs for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high, ensuring it's clean to avoid sticking.
  • Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Assembly

  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it. Toast the bread if desired, then layer the grilled chicken, cheese, and your selected toppings.
