Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar can adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted may substitute with coconut oil for a vegan option
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped can substitute with other fruits if desired

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish (about 9x9 inches) with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  • In another bowl, mix melted butter and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Cut into squares and cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Avoid over-baking for chewier bars. Consider adding nuts, seeds, or dark chocolate for extra flavor.
