Cooking the Macaroni

Making the Cheese Sauce

  • In a blending jar or using a bowl and immersion blender, combine the cottage cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Blend together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Combining Pasta and Sauce

  • In the pot used for the macaroni, return the drained pasta. Pour the cottage cheese mixture into the pot and stir well until the pasta is thoroughly coated.

Heating Through

  • Place the pot on low heat and simmer gently for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving

  • Once heated through, serve your mac and cheese hot. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs or additional cheese if desired.
