Ingredients

Ice Cream Base

  • 2 cups heavy cream The base for that creamy texture you love in ice cream.
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk Adds sweetness and makes the ice cream ultra-rich.
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder For an intense chocolate flavor, opt for a high-quality cocoa powder.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream until it forms stiff peaks.
  • In another bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and cocoa powder. Stir until smooth.
  • Gently fold the cocoa mixture into the whipped cream, being careful not to deflate the cream.

Chilling and Freezing

  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions for about 20–25 minutes.
  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, transfer the mixture to an airtight container and freeze for about 4-6 hours, stirring every hour for even consistency.

Serving

  • Scoop your homemade chocolate ice cream into bowls or cones, and savor each creamy bite. Top with chocolate syrup, sprinkles, or your favorite nuts if desired.

Notes

Chill your mixing bowl and beaters before beginning for better whipping. Experiment with different cocoa powder for varied flavors. Consider adding chocolate chips or crushed cookies for unique textures.
