Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings Fresh wings are ideal, but frozen can work if needed.
  • 1 cup honey Adds necessary sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce Balances sweetness and adds depth.
  • 4 cloves minced garlic Freshly minced brings aroma and robust flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds smokiness and color.
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger Optional but enhances flavor.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha or cayenne pepper Optional for those who crave heat.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using frozen wings, thaw completely and pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, paprika, ginger, and Sriracha or cayenne pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  • Place the wings in a large resealable bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over them, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.

Cooking

  • Spread the marinated wings on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Optionally, broil for a few minutes at the end for extra crispiness, watching closely.
  • Remove from the oven, brush with leftover marinade, and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, dry wings the night before in the fridge. Consider briefly grilling after baking for smoky flavor. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days, reheating in the oven.
