Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 unit bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Cooking the Chicken

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Adding Vegetables

  • Once the chicken is cooked, toss in the diced bell pepper and broccoli florets.
  • Stir everything together and let the veggies soften for another 3-5 minutes.

Making the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix the hot honey and soy sauce.
  • Pour this mixture over the chicken and vegetables in the skillet, stirring well to coat everything evenly.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes until it thickens slightly.

Assembling the Bowl

  • In serving bowls, layer the cooked rice first, followed by the hot honey chicken and sautéed vegetables.
  • Sprinkle fresh cilantro on top for a pop of color and added freshness.

Serving

  • Enjoy your Hot Honey Chicken Bowl while it's warm.
