  • 1 cup Cheese, shredded (cheddar or a mix) Cheddar or a mix works wonderfully.

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil. Add the chopped onions and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the sliced kielbasa to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the frozen pierogi, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the mixture and stir to combine.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake uncovered for about 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  • Allow the bake to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a more complex flavor profile, try mixing different cheeses. Fresh herbs like dill or parsley can enhance the dish post-bake.
