  • 2 cups water For brewing the tea.
  • 1 orange orange (juice and zest) Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1-2 sticks cinnamon sticks Adjust according to taste.
  • 2 bags tea bags (black or green tea) Choose based on your preference.
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) For creaminess.
  • to taste sweetener (sugar, honey, etc.) Add according to preference.

Preparation

  • In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  • Once boiling, remove the pot from heat and add the tea bags and cinnamon sticks. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
  • While the tea is steeping, zest and juice your orange, setting aside the zest for garnishing later.
  • Remove the tea bags and cinnamon sticks. Stir in the freshly squeezed orange juice along with the orange zest.
  • Gradually stir in 1 cup of your choice of milk and warm the mixture over low heat.
  • Depending on your preference, add a sweetener to elevate the taste.
  • Pour your drink into a cup, optionally garnishing with a sprinkle of orange zest or a cinnamon stick.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, use black tea; for a lighter taste, choose green tea. Experiment with sweeteners to find your unique flavor. Fresh ingredients yield the best flavor.
