Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chopped
  • 2 –3 habanero peppers seeds removed for less heat if desired
  • ½ small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Water as needed
  • Optional: pinch of turmeric
  • Optional: small carrot

Instructions
 

  • Chop pineapple, onion, and habanero peppers; mince garlic.
  • In a saucepan, combine pineapple, habaneros, onion, garlic, vinegar, lime juice, and salt.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  • Cook for 10–12 minutes until ingredients soften.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Transfer mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Add water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning or sweetness.
  • Strain if desired and let sit before serving.

  • Remove pepper seeds to control heat level.
  • Avoid adding too much vinegar to keep balance.
  • Cooking helps blend flavors and soften ingredients.
  • Flavor improves after resting for a few hours.
