- 2 cups fresh pineapple chopped
- 2 –3 habanero peppers seeds removed for less heat if desired
- ½ small onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ½ cup white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey optional
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Water as needed
- Optional: pinch of turmeric
- Optional: small carrot
Chop pineapple, onion, and habanero peppers; mince garlic.
In a saucepan, combine pineapple, habaneros, onion, garlic, vinegar, lime juice, and salt.
Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Cook for 10–12 minutes until ingredients soften.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Transfer mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
Add water as needed to reach desired consistency.
Taste and adjust seasoning or sweetness.
Strain if desired and let sit before serving.
