  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds For added texture and flavor.

Preparation

  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey (or maple syrup), poppy seeds, salt, and pepper until combined. Set aside.
  • Thoroughly rinse the spinach leaves under cold water and pat them dry.
  • Remove leafy tops from strawberries and slice them evenly.

Combining Ingredients

  • In a large salad bowl, combine the spinach and sliced strawberries. If desired, add sliced almonds or walnuts and sprinkle with feta cheese.

Serving

  • Just before serving, drizzle the balsamic poppyseed dressing over the salad and toss gently.
  • Serve immediately for the freshest flavor.
