These protein cinnamon rolls are soft, fluffy, and packed with protein—without tasting like “diet food.” Made with Greek yogurt and protein powder, they deliver classic cinnamon roll comfort with lighter ingredients, making them perfect for high-protein breakfasts, meal prep, or healthy snacks.

- Dough
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour or white whole wheat flour
- ½ cup vanilla or unflavored protein powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cinnamon Filling
- 2 tbsp light butter or coconut oil melted
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1½ tbsp ground cinnamon
- Optional Protein Icing
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 –2 tbsp protein powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
Add Greek yogurt, eggs, vanilla, and maple syrup.
Stir until a soft dough forms.
Roll & Fill
Roll dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
Brush with melted butter or oil.
Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and sweetener.
Shape
Roll tightly into a log.
Slice into even rolls and place in baking dish.
Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly golden and set.
Ice & Serve
Let cool for 5 minutes.
Mix icing ingredients and spread over warm rolls if desired.
